Saying "yes"

Sometimes, I feel like I get stuck in a work/life rut.  I like to think of myself as a positive, rather bubbly person, but sometimes it's hard to be that way!  Especially when the sun starts to disappear for the winter.  Anyone else affected by changes in season?

Yesterday, I felt the need to adopt a motto to battle the uglies.  I should just start saying "yes" more often.  Life is just chock full of potential and possibilities, and that's exciting.  But, if we don't latch onto any of those possibilities, then how are we going to experience anything beyond the day-to-day mundane life?  We all have the opportunity to live such different and colorful lives, if only we say "yes" to the opportunities that are presented to us.

Mike and I had a great start to the day yesterday.  We went to Denny's.  I hadn't been to a Denny's in forever.  So satisfying.  Then we planned on rollerskating.  After going home for a while, we started feeling a little lazy, but I had already committed and said "yes" to rollerskating.... so......

We went!  And, ya know what?  It was FUN!  Seeing Mike whiz by me on a rink full of all ages, sizes, and skill levels was so DIFFERENT!  So out of the norm for us.  It cost a total of $10, and it was good, old-fashioned, clean fun.  I wouldn't have experienced it if I went with my lazy assertions and turned it down.

So, here's my challenge for you:  Say "yes."

Couldn't agree with you more , having an open and engaging attitude toward life can bring out lots of unexpected surprises like finding out that roller skating can be so much fun. Cheers, and thanks for fun evening
