Creature Comforts

There is something about handmade critters... My uncle used to make amazing handpainted and carved animal sculptures, with wild colors and designs, often using uncommon objects to create texture, like bottle caps and nails.  In high school, I went through a bout of creating small clay figures sprung from my imagination. 

When I found Abigail Brown on pinterest, I fell in love with her whimsical style and attention to detail.  All of her pieces are hand made, and they're just so beautiful.  In the age of mass-produced, this is seriously so refreshing.

I just love that last one.

Emily Anne: Earring Designer???

It seems that every day of my twenties involves some sort of identity crisis.  What do I want to be "when I grow up?"  Today, I was an earring designer.  Yep.  I woke up and cranked out seven pairs of earrings, all of which I'm pretty proud of.  Uh.... where did that come from?  I surprise myself with the things I find I'm interested in.  What will I be interested in five years from now?  Several months?  A week?  Tomorrow?  Who knows....  Think I should open an Etsy shop?  Check out the photos and tell me what you think!
