How to wear tropical island prints
After a wicked winter, this spring we are ready to jump right into warm weather, fruity drinks, bright colors and warm breezes. It seems like an island-inspired element always surfaces in the spring, but this time around, I feel that it's especially strong.
Don't you love the vintage feel of tropical prints? Palm fronds, colorful fruit, birds of paradise...
Ok, so you don't want to look like a dorky tourist on a 3 hour tour? The trick to this is to pick one element at a time and pair with neutral basics for a casual-with-a-quirk feel. The hat alone with a basic grey tee and jeans is just cheeky enough, and you won't look silly.
If you're not ready to wear the island trend yourself, maybe your couch is? I included a great tropical bird pillow from West Elm if you're wardrobe wants to stay on dry land.
What's your favorite piece? How would you style this tropical vibe?
