#1: After much anticipation, I was offered a new job! I'm so excited to announce that I'll be the manager of the Naperville Hot Mama store in January. I feel like my life experiences have led me to this and I'm ready to take on a new challenge.
#2: My friend Monika, writer of The Sub Vision, invited me to join her for a Rent the Runway event at the W hotel in Chicago. It was so much fun! Wine, appetizers, meeting and mingling with fellow fashion blogger folk.... definitely something I'd like to do again! Cheers to new experiences!
#3: We ordered our Save the Dates for the wedding! It will be great to get those out!
#4: Mike and I had a wonderful rollerskating adventure that led me to realize a little life secret.
#5: I went over to hang out with my mom yesterday -- her birthday is today (Happy Birthday, Mom!) -- and we had a great time wedding planning and cooking. I made these little puppies for lunch. Sliced french bread, spread on a thin layer of cream cheese, add some ham (or turkey), a few thin slices of Monterey Jack cheese, tomatoes and cilantro. Broil until toasty.... delicious!
I'm continually impressed by where life takes me. I'm so grateful for my support system: friends, family, any of you reading. It's so important to embrace the people that life brings to you. And with that, friends, have a wonderful weekend!
congrats on the new job! that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat's Hot Mama? I'm from the Wheaton area and it sounds like an awesome maternity store which I would so be interested in next time I'm pregnant! good maternity clothes, hard to come by...

Michelle, it's a store that was created for moms. There's all kinds of great designer brands and a play area for kids, all keeping in mind the needs of current moms. It's not a maternity store, but there's a lot that can be worn during and after pregnancy! You should definitely check it out soon. :)
